It is going to be a hot and humid afternoon across Southeast Louisiana just like it should be for late-August. A tropical wave is located over the Eastern Gulf of Mexico and that will be moving toward the Northern Gulf later today and tomorrow. We will be partly cloudy with scattered showers and storms popping up over the afternoon and evening hours thanks to the sea breeze and heating of the day. High temperatures will be in the lower 90s.
The showers and storms will dissipate by 10 PM and then we will be left with partly cloudy skies overnight. It will be warm and sticky with lows in the lower 70s.
