Republican Congressman Joseph Pitts of Pennsylvania donated $4,000 in political campaign contributions to charity after learning it came from two men accused of being members of the Pakistan intelligence service. The FBI arrested Syed Ghulam Nabi Fai in Virginia for conspiring with another man in Pakistan to act as agents of a foreign country without registering with the U.S. government. Fai is the director of the Kashmiri American Council in Washington, D.C. Pitts' office says the two men misrepresented where the money came from in 2004 and the contribution would be considered illegal if the two men are convicted.
