Hornets say medics nixes Head deal

The New Orleans Hornets have decided against signing free agent Luther Head, after consulting with the team's medical staff.
The move comes after Head's agent said that the Hornets had not offered a reasonable explanation for taking back a two-year contract offer for the veteran guard.
Head's deal with Hornets was worth about $2.5 million, with an option for the second season.
