Hornets finalize deal with Thunder
The trade between the New Orleans Hornets and Oklahoma City Thunder is now final. The deal sent the rights to Cole Aldrich and Morris Peterson to the Thunder in exchange for the rights to Craig Brackins and Quincy Pondexter.
Brackins was the 21st overall selection in the draft. The former Iowa State forward averaged 16.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game last season as a junior.
Quincy Pondexter comes from Washington after averaging 19.3 points per game and 7.4 rebounds per game as a senior guard/forward. He was selected 26th overall in the draft.
Both Brackins and Pondexter are expected to play in the Hornets' first NBA Summer League game Friday against Golden State.
