Hornets announce 2010-2011 schedule
The New Orleans Hornets announced their 2010-2011 regular season schedule this afternoon, with some marquees matchups on the agenda. The team opens its season at home on October 27th against Brandon Jennings and the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Hornets first road game comes on three days later on Saturday, Oct. 30, when they take on Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and the San Antonio Spurs.
The Hornets play seven of their first 11 games at home to open the season, including a tilt against Chris Bosh, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and the Miami HEAT on Friday, Nov. 5 and a match-up against Brandon Roy and the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday, Nov. 13.
Other highlighted games throughout the season include two home games against Kobe Bryant and the NBA Champion L.A. Lakers on Wednesday, Jan. 29 and Saturday, Feb. 5, the lone home match-up against Ray Allen, Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce on Saturday, Mar. 19 and the final home game of the regular season against Deron Williams and the Utah Jazz on Monday, Apr. 11.
The Hornets will appear on national television just once during the season. It comes on the road against Mo Williams and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday, Mar. 6 on ESPN.
