Homes are being evacuated after an out of control fire started in a wooded area on Stafford Cemetery Road off Highway 1036 in Holden.

The fire started around 4:30 this afternoon and is still burning. Police said it’s threatening several structures in the area. It’s unclear what caused the fire at this point.

Authorities said four fire departments and the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office are working the fire.
