Homeless man hospitalized after Monroe shooting
MONROE - Monroe police are searching for a suspect in the shooting of a homeless man.
Police responded to a call early Saturday and found 31-year-old Casey R. Williams lying unresponsive on the ground with a single gunshot wound to the neck.
Williams was taken to a local hospital and later transferred to Shreveport in critical condition.
Sgt. Mark Johnson says Monroe police records show Williams has no permanent address, and past police contacts have shown him to be homeless.
