LIVINGSTON – A Holden man was arrested after police said he sent a 13-year-old girl sexual messages from his cell phone and computer.

Police arrested 44-year-old Franklin Church Monday night in suspicion of computer aided solicitation of a minor.

Chief Randy Dufrene said Church had parked at the Livingston Ballfield near the victim’s home and sent the messages over a cell phone and laptop computer.  When officers confronted Church, Dufrene said he struggled with them briefly before he was taken into custody.

Dufrene said Church also knew the victim because she had been a friend of Church’s son.

Church was booked into the Livingston Parish jail and given a $10,000 bond.
