Holden: "Big plans" for third term as EBR Mayor-Pres.
BATON ROUGE - East Baton Rouge Mayor-President Kip Holden will serve a third term in office.
He sailed to an easy victory tonight, beating challenger Mike Walker after getting 60 percent of the vote with nearly all precincts reporting.
Holden said he has big plans for his third term in office, continuing crimefighting efforts and putting Baton Rouge on the global map.
Walker conceded the race earlier in the evening, telling his supporters he still had work to do in East Baton Rouge Parish. He is still Mayor Pro Tem of the parish Metro Council.
