High wind engagement
ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO- A couple that got engaged on top of Sandia Peak in New Mexico had to stop their celebration after strong wind stranded them.
It was smooth sailing when Arthur Edelhoff and Lindsay Duncan rode the tram to the top of the peak about sundown. After taking festive engagement photos, the couple and 140 other people were told it was too windy to leave.
The wind was a brisk 40 miles per hour and had to die down before the tram could operate. The couple didn't get off the mountain until 10:30 that night.
