High water closes busy highway
BATON ROUGE- A popular route between the Capital City and Ascension Parish is expected to be closed for Tuesday's morning rush, and could be closed longer.
Traffic engineers closed Old Perkins (Hwy. 427) at Bayou Manchac because of high water.
It won't be reopened until the water goes down.
