High school football jamborees kick off in Baton Rouge area

BATON ROUGE - High School football began tonight in the Baton Rouge area as Dutchtown and Port Allen both hosted jamborees.

The Griffins played host to the Walker Wildcats, where Kajuan Coleman and Averee York both scored touchdowns to lead Dutchtown to a 33-0 victory.

In Port Allen, the Pelicans faced the Albany Hornets, as Port Allen picked up key contributions from Devon Hammond and Juwan Johnson on the way to a 14-0 Pelicans win.

Regular season action begins next week around Baton Rouge.
