Helicopter officers help make burglary arrest
BATON ROUGE - Officers in police helicopters helped make two burglary arrests and recover several stolen items this weekend, according to Baton Rouge Police.
Sgt. Don Stone said two thirteen-year-old males were arrested early Sunday morning after the officers spotted them acting suspiciously while flying in the 2600 block of Plank Road.
The officers called police on the ground and directed them to the teens' location. Stone said when the officers found the boys they were carrying shoes, a computer and several cell phones. Investigators determined that the two had been stealing from vehicles parked in the area.
Both juveniles were booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Juvenile Detention Center.
