Heirloom return called a miracle
UNION CITY, CA - Sanitation workers found and returned an heirloom diamond ring to a family whose three-year-old son flushed it down a toilet.
Crews found the ring last week after it vanished from Munazzar and Mehvish Tapal's house in Union City near San Francisco. Workers flushed some sewer lines and discovered the ring after picking up debris.
The Wastewater Collection Supervisor likened to to finding a needle in a haystack. The Tapal's say the ring has been in the family for about 60 years and called the return a miracle.
