Heck, yeah! Rednecks hold their blanking Summer Games
HEBRON, Maine - It's time for rednecks to enjoy their blanking games.
In the coming week, there's going to be pomp and circumstance and world-class athletes at the Summer Olympics in Brazil. But this weekend, there's barbecue, beer and mud at an event formerly known as the Redneck Olympics in Maine.
The event this weekend in Hebron, Maine, was originally launched as the Redneck Olympics. But it changed its name to "Redneck (Blank)" after the real Olympics threatened to sue.
There's no mistaking the two.
Saturday's events included a pie-eating contest, a greased watermelon haul, toilet seat horseshoes, a muddy tug of war and a wife-hauling contest.
