Heavy traffic around LSU for music weekend
Interstate traffic seems to be clearing up on traffic cameras near Baton Rouge. Inside the city around Louisiana State University is where there seems to be a lot of build up.
You should expect heavy traffic on Highland Road and Nicholson Drive through the weekend. Portions of Burbank Drive and Lee Road also have pretty high levels of traffic.
LSU Police say they have about 100 officers working intersections and cycling traffic lights through the weekend. There are no plans to implement the contra-flow system used during football season. Captain Cory Lalonde said they are not expecting the kind of numbers it would take to start contra-flow.
