...Flood Watch in effect from 10 AM Friday until 7 PM Sunday...

We start out this Friday Morning with partly to mostly cloudy skies and it is muggy with temperatures in the lower 70s.

Get ready for some heavy rain to return to the Baton Rouge area beginning this afternoon. This is all due to the stationary front still lingering across the Louisiana Coast and an upper-level low that will move from the Western Gulf of Mexico slowly across Louisiana over the weekend. We will have scattered showers and thunderstorms popping up late this morning and continuing through the afternoon. Some of the storms will be strong with heavy rain and gusty winds.

We could pick up 1 to 2 inches of rain today and that is why a Flood Watch has been issued by the NWS. High temperatures will not be as hot thanks to the rain as they only climb into the upper 80s.

We will some lingering showers tonight, otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy with lows in the lower 70s.
