Heat related death in Holden
Livingston Parish deputies found Clyde James Pitre who may have been dead in the cab of his truck for several days in Holden.
Detectives determined that the home located near the truck did not have a working air conditioner, the truck was out of gas, and battery was dead.
They also noticed the ignition key was in the "run" position, and the air conditioner controls were on the coldest temperature setting.
Pending an autopsy, detectives believe Pitre may have tried to avoid recent high temperatures and possibly died of carbon monoxide poisoning.
