MIAMI - LeBron James and Udonis Haslem have put the Miami Heat within one victory of their third straight trip to the NBA Finals.
The duo produced 26 points in the third quarter to help the Heat pull away in a 90-79 win over the Indiana Pacers in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals.
The Heat outscored the Pacers 30-13 in the third period after Indiana carried a four-point lead into the second half.
James contributed 16 of Miami's third-quarter points and finished with 30, along with eight rebounds and six assists. Haslem hit his final eight shots to end up with 16 points.
The Pacers and Miami were tied at 53 until the Heat outscored Indiana 17-4 over the last 4 ½ minutes of the third quarter.
Paul George had 27 points and 11 rebounds for the Pacers, who will try to stave off elimination when they host the Heat in Game 6 on Saturday.
Before the game the NBA announced that James and Indiana's David West and Lance Stephenson had been fined $5,000 for violating the league's anti-flopping policy in Game 4.
