Hearing reset for suspect in Mother's Day shooting
NEW ORLEANS - After two delays in recent weeks, a hearing is again set for a suspect in a shooting spree that left 20 people injured on Mother's Day in New Orleans.
24-year-old Shawn Scott was set for a Thursday preliminary hearing before a magistrate at the city's criminal courthouse.
Scott is being held since his arrest on 20 counts of attempted second-degree murder.
Scott and his 19-year-old brother, Akein Scott, were arrested days after the shooting at a second-line parade. Bond for each of them was set at $10 million.
