Healthy BR's Family Fit Day
BATON ROUGE- Healthy BR is hosting the 2nd annual Family Fit Day this Saturday at BREC's City Brooks Park. The event is free and open to people of all ages.
Healthy BR will set up temporary paved parks for running, walking, biking, dancing, and socializing. The event will have local organizations that will offer fitness classes, speakers, healthy cooking demonstrations, and much more.
Family Fit Day is part of an open streets initiative that seeks to provide a fun, citywide event for people of all ages to encourage sustained physical activity, increase their community involvement, and build healthy and active lifestyles.
Baton Rouge joins over 90 other cities hosting the open streets initiatives in the United States and Canada.
