Health care deadline today
BATON ROUGE - Today is the last day to sign up for 2015 coverage under the Affordable Care Act.
According to the federal exchange, those who want insurance from Obamacare 2.0 should at least start the application by midnight on Sunday to avoid a fee.
Those filing taxes in April will have to report whether or not they got coverage by the deadline. Officials say an exemption can be granted to avoid a penalty from the federal government if the applicant qualifies.
