Hazy this morning with scattered storms this afternoon
It is a calm start to this Thursday with partly cloudy skies, some patchy fog and haze. Temperatures are warm as they sit in the lower to mid 70s.
We will have another round of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. This time we will see a little better coverage of the storms. The area of high pressure is still sitting over the Eastern U.S. today, but it will be moving to the west tomorrow. That means we will have very hot temperatures once again and the storms feed off of that. Some of the storms could be strong to severe again with heavy rain, gusty winds, hail and frequent lightning strikes. High temperatures will be in the mid 90s with the heat index of 100 to 105.
The storms will dissipate this evening, but we could see a stray shower overnight. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy, warm and muggy with lows in the mid 70s.
