It will be hazy, hot and very humid this afternoon across the Capital City with a mix of sun and clouds. We will have to dodge scattered showers and thunderstorms that pop-up as well. Some could be strong with heavy rain, gusty winds and frequent lightning strikes. Our high temperature will be in the lower 90s with a heat index around 100.
The storms will continue this evening before they dissipate after sunset. Then we will be left with partly to mostly cloudy skies. Temperatures will fall into the 80s.
The clouds will stick around tonight, but we may have some rain returning early on Tuesday Morning. This will come from a disturbance that is moving south out of Arkansas if it hold together. Right now, the forecast models are showing that it will be much weaker, but could bring us some light rain. Low temperatures will be in the mid 70s.
