Hazmat fire extinguished in St. Gabriel
ST. GABRIEL - State police and hazmat crews were on the scene of a possible chemical fire in St. Gabriel Tuesday morning.
Iberville Parish Sheriff Brett Stassi says the warehouse fire at Delta Chemical Service on LA-30 burned itself out, but crews are on scene to make sure that everything is safe.
LA-30 was shutdown from Hwy. 74 to Hwy. 3115 as a result of the fire, but it has since reopened.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. No injuries were reported.
