Hardest hit areas without power could be restored by 11 p.m.
BATON ROUGE - The hardest hit areas still without power after Monday's storms slammed East Baton Rouge will likely have power by 11 p.m. Wednesday.
Entergy updated its website to show anticipated times when power will be restored. Some areas were listed as 10 p.m., others were at 11 p.m.
Large swaths of the parish remained without power Wednesday afternoon, including Southdowns and the lakes areas as well as clusters in Scotlandville, Zion City and Brookstown. There were scattered outages in other parts of the EBR, too.
Just shy of 23,000 Entergy customers statewide were without power, still, Wednesday afternoon. About 10,600 were in EBR and an additional 1,700 in Ascension and 2,100 in Assumption. Fewer than 70 in West Baton Rouge were powerless.
