Hammond man charged in bank fraud
HAMMOND- A man is under arrest on charged of bank fraud after Louisiana State Police received a criminal complaint about the man.
Eddie W. Buie of Hammond is charged with Bank Fraud, Access Device Fraud, Unauthorized Use of an Access Card, Identity Theft, Criminal Conspiracy, and Theft over $500.
Through the course of the investigation, detectives discovered that Buie had fraudulently obtained an American Express credit card in his son's name. According to police, Buie and his girlfriend, Danyell Duplaisir used the card to accumulate over $1300 in fraudulent charges throughout the Hammond area.
Buie was arrested by investigators yesterday and booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail on the above charges.
LSP detectives are still searching for Duplaisir.
