BATON ROUGE - A home security camera caught two women stealing packages from a man's front step Thursday afternoon.

The packages were taken from a home in the Mid City area of Baton Rouge.

"I saw two people come onto our doorstep and steal my son's school supplies," said Drew Faust.

The unidentified people were driving a white or tan minivan without a license plate.

In the video, one woman exited the vehicle and began walking toward the house and found herself face-to-face with the neighbors' cat. The woman turned around to get what appears to be a hammer and returned to face the cat. A second woman followed her, walked up to the front steps and took the packages.

"Apparently the other one's brave, I don't know," Faust joked - letting go of his frustration for a little laugh when he talked exclusively to WBRZ for a story on the Friday edition of News 2 at 10:00.

The woman put the packages in the back seat of the minivan and the two drive off.

Faust says the items were insured and the company he ordered them from will reship, but he has a message for the people who stole from him.

"It's not hard, just don't steal," he said. "Teach your kids not to steal."

Baton Rouge Police are investigating.
