Halloween fun for cancer patients
BATON ROUGE - Children fighting cancer at Baton Rouge's Our Lady of the Lake Hospital will have time to take a break and enjoy Halloween, thanks to the effort of a local foundation.
Kim Bowman and her husband Trey created the Bella Bowman Foundation after their daughter lost her battle to brain cancer. The group visits the hospital often, with volunteers dressing up to bring joy to children's lives as their cancer is treated.
Bowman discussed the foundation's plans for Halloween today on News 2 at 4, saying there will be plenty of trick or treating and games for child cancer patients.
The foundation also holds a special Christmas event for children fighting cancer at OLOL as well.
