Gunman surrenders to police after story airs

A gunman turned himself in after News 2 aired a story connecting him to a Gonzales shooting.

Kevian Williams surrendered to the Gonzales Police Department this evening. He’s accused of opening fire on a group of teens in the Kennedy Heights subdivision after he got into a fight with one of them over a girl.

It happened on March 2 on Robert Street. One teen was hit in the leg, and Williams fled the scene. Detectives arrested his cousin, Eric Williams, who supposedly drove Williams to the subdivision. Eric was charged with principal to attempted murder.

Williams has been charged with four counts of attempted first degree murder and has been transported to the Donaldsonville Parish Prison for booking and bond consideration.
