A former prosecutor in Baton Rouge City Court and an ex cop pled guilty to bribery charges in federal court Friday morning.

This year, Prosecutor Flitcher Bell took money in exchange for the dismissal of traffic violations.  He also took money for the dismissal of a case involving an undercover FBI agent.

Former cop Darrell Johnson also took money in exchange for the dismissal of a prostitution charge.  Investigators said he admitted to taking bribes for the past 19 years.

The FBI said the men would go through an un-named middle man who would facilitate the bribes.  He hasn't been indicted, but is under investigation.

The FBI started investigating three years ago after receiving a tip about corruption taking place inside the walls of City Court.

Leonard Jackson is another cop caught up in the scandal.  He will be arraigned next week.

Sentencing dates have not been set.  Each charge carries a 250,000 fine and five years in prison.
