Guice earns US Army All American Bowl MVP honors
SAN ANTONIO - Derrius Guice only touched the ball twice at the US Army All American Bowl but he made them count, catching 2 passes for a bowl-record 153 yards and 2 touchdowns, helping the West team to a win and earning the Catholic High senior MVP honors for the game.
Guice started things off quickly in the 1st quarter, catching a 92 yard touchdown pass that gave his West side the lead 6-3.
Guice added another score in the 2nd quarter: a 61-yard touchdown catch that put the West team up 33-3.
The East side rallied, but West held on for a 39-36 win.
