Guard members coming home this weekend
BATON ROUGE - The La. National Guard will be welcoming home Saturday a group of their own after their deployment overseas.
Soldiers from the Louisiana National Guard's 927th Engineer Company and 769th Engineer Battalion will be welcomed home by family, friends and soldiers after a year in Afghanistan.
The soldiers will also be honored for their help with disaster relief during Hurricane Issac and the BP oil spill in 2011.
The ceremony will be held Saturday around 12:30 at the Baton Rouge Metro Airport.
