Group wants your vote 4 for the Roads
BATON ROUGE - You'll have to decide on 14 amendments when you head to the polls tomorrow. One group wants to make things easier by encouraging voters to improve Louisiana's roadways.
4 for the Roads wants voters to approve Amendment Four. It gives the state treasurer the power to set up an infrastructure bank to work on road and bridge projects. The group says it's the best way to fund a better transportation system.
"A vote yes means we're going to start the process for a better way to pay for transportation," spokesman Mark Lambert explains. "It does not raise taxes, it does not raise fees, but what it does is allow us to look for other ways to come up with more to pay for transportation."
