Group calls for 'Gun Appreciation Day'
WASHINGTON, D.C.- A group of gun rights activists are planning a "Gun Appreciation Day" for mid-January.
"The Obama administration has shown that it is more than willing to trample the Constitution to impose its dictates upon the American people," said Gun Appreciation Day chairman Larry Ward, president of Political Media, Inc.
The group said the president is using events like the school shooting in Connecticut to push plans to ban some weapons.
President Obama has said he supports re-enacting a ban on assault weapons.
The group is calling on gun enthusiasts to visit gun stores, ranges, and other locations on January 19th.
