A groundbreaking was held this afternoon for a new fire station in the Pride Fire District.
This new station would also cut the response time to about three to four minutes for calls in the district.
Officials hope this new station will ultimately lower the cost of fire insurance for those in the district.
Construction was made possible by a service fee and a recent tax.
