A grand jury has indicted a 21-year-old man in the Oct. 15 shooting death of a Baton Rouge man.

An East Baton Rouge Parish grand jury charged Larondric Christopher Johnson of St. Gabriel on Thursday with second-degree murder in the slaying of 24-year-old Wesley Johnson.

The Johnsons are not related.

Police said two men forced their way into Wesley Johnson's apartment, demanded money, shot him and fled.

Larondric Johnson was arrested Oct. 22 and a 17-year-old was arrested Oct. 23.

The 17-year-old was booked on counts of first-degree murder, armed robbery, simple criminal damage to property, being a fugitive, simple burglary and illegal use of a weapon.

Those charges are still pending.
