Grambling State president search narrowed to 8 candidates
BATON ROUGE - A committee set up to find the next president of Grambling State University will meet Friday to pick semifinalists for the job.
On Tuesday the committee received the applications of eight candidates recommended for the job by the Hollins Group, a firm hired to conduct the search for the next president. Next the college's search committee will meet Friday to pick semifinalists to interview.
The University of Louisiana System Board is expected to announce the new Grambling president at a special meeting on June 4.
Grambling State is a historically black college in rural northern Louisiana founded in 1901 with about 5,000 students in 47 degree programs.
