Governor asks Regents to consider merging SUNO, UNO
BATON ROUGE – Governor Bobby Jindal is asking the state Board of Regents to conduct a study considering merging the University of New Orleans and Southern Univeristy at New Orleans.
The Board of Regents will report its findings by March 1.
SUNO and UNO, if merged, would become a single campus under the University of Louisiana System as part of the proposal.
Jindal made the announcement at a press conference this afternoon at the Governor’s Mansion.
