MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA - Adding to their reputation as technology pioneers, Google unveiled their "Project Glass" Wednesday; a technology that has been compared to a smartphone for your eyes.

The glasses, as demonstrated in a YouTube video posted by Google, are planned to superimpose calendar events, weather forecasts, directions, text messages, and other personal information into your sight in real time.

The device is planned to be controled by your voice.

Google posted the video onto their social networking site Google plus, with the intention "to start a conversation" about their idea and to "learn from your valuable input."

Google also released pictures of the glasses but nothing about a release date or technical information.
