Gonzales PD reports arrest of accused jewelry thief
GONZALES - Police said they arrested a man last month accused of kicking in the door of a Gonzales home and making off with jewelry.
Gonzales police said they responded to the scene of a burglary early on the morning of Sept. 15 to find that Cody Wayne Bradley of Baton Rouge had kicked in the back door of the residence and fled on foot.
Officers arrived in time to chase Bradley and caught him in the front yard of a nearby residence. When they searched Bradley, officers said they found a necklace and a bracelet of white costume pearl jewelry in his possession which investigators determined belonged to the victim.
Bradley was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail on charges of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling and resisting an officer.
