Gonzales man arrested for dispute involving gun
PRAIRIEVILLE - A man accused in a disturbance involving a gun in Ascension Parish is now behind bars.
On August 29, deputies went to 15009 Beau Jon Ave. in Prarieville, where they found two men fighting on the floor of a bedroom.
Carlos Jackson then began fighting with deputies as they were trying to put him in handcuffs. Deputies say Jackson and the other man were fighting over a gun, after Jackson reportedly said he was going to kill the man and his wife.
The victim told deputies the gun fired three times, while he was fighting with Jackson.
Jackson was arrested and booked on multiple charges, including attempted first-degree murder, home invasion and battery of a police officer.
