GONZALES – Gonzales officers are searching for a man who allegedly robbed a bank on Thursday afternoon.

The Region's Bank at the corner of Airline and Weber City Road was robbed around 12:30 Thursday, police said.

According to the Gonzales Police Department, a black man walked into the lobby of the bank, approached a teller and presented her with a note demanding all the cash from her drawer.

The cashier gave the robber a non-disclosed amount of cash and then left on foot. Officers nearby said they did not see anyone fitting the description walking near the bank.

According to the police department, investigators were given information that the man possibly left the parking lot in a white four-door Acura with tinted windows and chrome rims.

Anyone with information on the incident is urged to call the Gonzales Police Department at  225 647-9583.
