'GMA' co-host, others to get honorary degrees
BATON ROUGE - "Good Morning America" co-host Robin Roberts and the French ambassador to the United States will be among those getting honorary doctorates in December from schools in the University of Louisiana System.
The presentations will be made during each school's fall commencements.
Roberts, the sister of New Orleans television reporter/anchor Sally-Ann Roberts, will receive an honorary doctor of humanities on Dec. 14 from Southeastern Louisiana University, her alma mater.
Francois Delattre, France's ambassador to the U.S. since 2011, will get an honorary doctor of Francophone studies Dec. 20 from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
The University of New Orleans and University of Louisiana at Monroe also plan to award honorary degrees.
