Girl, 4, drowns at Kenner pool
KENNER, La. - Kenner police say a 4-year-old girl has drowned in a condominium complex pool.
Police say in a news release that Jennifer Santos-Molina of Metairie was seen on surveillance footage swimming with family members Friday night at the Chardonnay Village Condominiums.
Police says at one point, the girl pushed off a ledge, went under water and resurfaced twice "with little commotion." Police say the child didn't resurface again, and she went unnoticed for about nine minutes.
She was later pronounced dead at Ochsner Medical Center in Kenner.
An autopsy will be performed, police said, and an investigation is ongoing.
