Ghost hunters held at gunpoint
GETTYSBURG, PENNSYLVANIA- Police thought a ghost hunt was a burglary in progress and an officer mistakenly held two tourists and their tour guide at gunpoint in a building thought to be haunted.
Thanksgiving night, a ghost tour in Gettysburg was inside a store and an officer saw flashlights.
He went in thinking the place was being robbed. He handcuffed and searched the three ghost hunters and called in the arrest.
Police checked with the store owner who confirmed the tour guide had permission to use the Civil-War era building.
The first Union general killed in the Battle of Gettysburg was taken to that building after being fatally wounded.
