After years of squabbling over its fate, a massive light-up map that illustrates the key moments of the Battle of Gettysburg is up for sale. The map is 30-by-30 and its blinking lights illustrate troops movements showing visitors how the defining battle of the Civil War unfolded. It went up for auction on the government's General Services Administration website this week. Bidding is to close by Friday and it could be had for as little as $5. Gettysburg National Historical Park stopped using it in 2008. The buyer is responsible for transporting the map and dealing with the asbestos plaster that was used to build it.
