Getting over the rain hump
Expect Monday to be wet with mostly cloudy skies. Expect a bit more rain than Sunday.
This is all because of a trough extending from south Texas into Mexico. We are on the active side of this trough, which is pumping the moisture into the Gulf Coast. This huge plume of moisture in the Gulf of Mexico began to feed our wet pattern today and will continue into the middle of the week, but expect Monday to be the wettest.
As we approach the middle of the week, the rain coverage will taper and we will be left with a pleasant weekend. Highs will likely remain in the 80's and we will lower our low temperatures into the mid 60's over the next several days. Next weekend, we will certainly be raking in the benefits of autumn. Some dry air should allow our low temperatures to drop to the low 60's. It's certainly possible they could drop into the 50's even. We're staying fairly conservative at the moment with our forecast, but stay tuned through the week!
