BATON ROUGE - Febraury is American Heart Month, and doctors are taking this opportunity to warn people about heart disease.
Dr. Garland Green was on the set of News 2 at 4 today, talking about heart issues amongst women.
Dr. Green said that some common symptoms are tightness in the chest and shortness of breath, but that many people with heart disease experience a wide variety of symptoms.
According to Dr. Green, women sometimes experience pain in their joints and other areas as symptoms of heart disease.
