Get rid of old meds with Drug Take Back Day
BATON ROUGE - The Drug Enforcement Administration, local law enforcement and Blue Cross/ Blue Shield will join together this weekend for the eighth annual Drug Take Back Day. Zachary Police Chief David McDavid and Robin Mayhall from BCBS joined Whitney Vann on 2une In Thursday to talk about how you can get involved locally.
The goal of Drug Take Back Day is to help people get rid of potentially dangerous, expired, unused or unwanted prescription drugs. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked. There are two locations in our area where you can drop off you old meds:
-Louisiana State Police Troop A
-Zachary Police Department
You can drop them off anytime Saturday from 10:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m.
